Our common plastic color matching is two, one is manual color matching, and another is mechanical color matching.
Manual color matching, its color matching personnel must have rich experience in color matching. Before color matching, he must have a clear understanding of the colorants he needs. In order to master the general rules of coloring, we should have a clear understanding of the properties of the coloring agents, such as hue, color, mobility, heat resistance, weather resistance, chemical stability and so on, and accumulate the experience of various kinds of plastic coloring samples and color matching. Before finding the appropriate colorant formula, a lot of debugging must be done first, and the color of the same color is repeated repeatedly until the required color is obtained. Obviously, the visual color matching method is a trial and error method, not very scientific. Because this method is simple and practical, it is still widely used. But this method takes time and requires a lot of experience from operators. Otherwise, it will be very difficult to operate.
Plastic matching
The instrumental color matching method is developed on the basis of visual color matching method. This method uses spectrophotometer and other measuring instruments to replace the functions of human eyes and brain. The trial process of color ratio is carried out by computer simulation without the actual mixing of plastic coloring. The operator only needs to measure the reflectivity, that is, its standard value, and select the pigment used to match the color. By adjusting the concentration of color matching pigments, the measurement system is consistent with the standard conversion value. If the paint chosen by the operator is reasonable, the system will output a formula in the form of mass fraction, and then convert the percentage formula into the mass ratio.

At present, manual color matching is the main form of daily life. Mechanical color matching for the shop, because the mechanical match, the computer picture and the actual sample there is a certain chromatic aberration.
