Material Comparison Guide

Materials of metal parts: steel or metal that is not carbon. Iron and steel: iron alloy with carbon of 2% – 4.3% is cast iron, and iron alloy with carbon of 0.03% – 2% is steel. In order to improve the strength, hardness, wear resistance and corrosion resistance of iron or steel, a variety of appropriate alloy elements are added purposefully into Fe-C alloy. The commonly used alloying elements are Si, Mn, Cr, Ni, Mo, W, V, Ti, Nb, B, etc., forming a variety of alloy iron or alloy steel

Treatment process

  • Anti corrosion and anti rust treatment: boiling black and boiling blue is also called phosphating treatment, so that metal parts have corrosion resistance and rust resistance
  • Hardening treatment: the treatment method for increasing the hardness of metal parts:(1) When the surface hardness of metal parts is increased, the surface color will turn black after carburizing; (2) Quenching treatment can increase the hardness; (3) Vacuum heat treatment improves the hardness of the integrity.
  • Machining, stamping, precision casting, powder metallurgy, metal injection molding, laser machining, EDM, ultrasonic machining, electrochemical machining, particle beam machining and ultra high speed machining. as turning, milling, forging, casting, grinding, CNC machining, they are machining conventional processing.
